Diana Lea Chase, 50, of Red Bluff, died at home following a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure.

She was born to Sidney and Irene Bender, and moved to Tehama County as an infant. Diana attended grade school at Plum Creek in Payne's Creek and graduated from Red Bluff High School, and went on to college at UC Davis and Simpson College for her degree to be a teacher. She married John Chase, they made their home in Red Bluff.

She was an interperter for the Tehama County Department of Education in Gerber and a member of Calvary Chapel and Vineyard Church, both in Red Bluff.

Survivors include daughter, Ashley Chase of Red Bluff; brothers, Kenneth Benner of Oregon, Larry Benner of Anderson, and Marvin Benner of Susanville; half brother, Ralph Johnson of Vinton; and sisters, Charlotte Brownfield and Ramona Hille, both of Red Bluff, Faye Bendinger of Dales Station, Jenny Hughes of Los Molinos, Beverly Ogle of Paynes Creek, and Linda Benner of Susanville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roy and Randall Bender.

A funeral service was held at Calvary Chapel in Red Bluff. The Rev. Gilbert DeLao of the church officiated.

Burial wiil follow at Belle Mill/Lyonsville Pioneer Cemetery in Lyonsville.
