He was born August 3, 1960 in Jena to the union of his parents, Willie Rawlins and Helen Havis Breland.
Pete was a drilling consultant in the oilfield and served his country in the Army National Guard.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 20, at Magnolia Baptist Church of Nebo with the Revs. Mark Breland and Byron Norris officiating.
Interment followed in the Magnolia Cemetery of Nebo under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nelson Sanders; and sister, Shirley Jo.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Kirkham Breland; son, Chris Breland (Tasha); daughter, Nikki Meche (Kevin); brother, C.J. Sanders; and 9 grandchildren.
