JoAnn Jordan died peacefully in University of Missouri Hospital on January 4th in Columbia, MO at age 66.
She is survived by mother Nettie Lee Jordan, Columbia, MO; sons Nathan Stephens (Kristen White), of Carbondale, IL, Marcus Jordan and daughter Chanel Taylor (David Young) of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Ionqual Jordan, Shakaylah Stephens, Taykirah Jackman, Nathan Stephens Jr., Tiera Dameron, Terron Taylor, Keon Jordan, Natalie Tenant, Dizmoray McKee, Edreiona McKee, Jayveon Stephens, Tyrik McKee and DeKari Carthon-Jordan. And four great grandkids Kamryn, Antonio Jr., Preston, and Taj. Her siblings, Bruce Stephens, Peyton Jordan, Herb Jordan Jr., Marlon Jordan, Darrell Jordan (Debra), Arnita Jordan, Karen Ware (Julian), Maurice Jordan and Kevin Jordan of Columbia; Alan Jordan (Joyce) of Lee Summit, MO.
She was preceded in death by sons James Stephens and Ronnie Stephens; siblings Lauren Jordan and Robert Jordan; granddaughter Breaujene Jordan, and father, Herbert Jordan.
JoAnn was born on January 5th, 1949 in Columbia, MO to Herb and Nettie Jordan. She retired from MU Campus Dining Services as a cook, which she loved to do. Her specialty was spice cake with sauce. JoAnn was candid, comical and loved westerns. She had a number of sayings and quotes. She will be missed by many.
