Lydia Marie Sillyman, 94, of Lodi, died Tuesday at a local convalescent hospital after a short illness.
A native of Kansas, she moved to Lodi in 1951, after living in Colorado.
She was a graduate of Hays Teachers College and taught country school off and on until World War II began. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a past member of the Lodi Women's Club and a past member of the Kansas Club.
She is survived by one son, Ken Riley of Lodi; one daughter, Kathryn Warn of Lodi; six stepchildren, Isabel Keltner of Oklahoma, Ethel Dyer of Kansas, Paul Milberger of Burbank, Carl Milerger of New Mexico, Maxine Atkinson of Modesto, and Nadine Sillyman of Roseville; one sister, Esther Aldinger of Lodi; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
