Lori L. Long, 62, of Kearney died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2016 at the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney with the Pastor Dean Pofahl officiating. Interment will follow at Kearney Cemetery. O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lori Lynn (Billesbach) Long was born January 2, 1954 in McCook, Nebraska to Neal and June (Missing) Billesbach. She grew up in Arapahoe, Nebraska and was a graduate of Arapahoe High School. On November 24, 1973, Lori was united in marriage to Richard Long in Arapahoe, Nebraska. Together the couple owned and operated Precision Import Repair, where Lori handled the bookkeeping. Lori enjoyed all things Elvis, reading, her cats and spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Richard Long; sons Ryan (Amy) Long, Adam (Melissa) Long and Aaron (Robin) Long all of Kearney; 7 grandchildren; mother, June Billesbach of Kearney; brother Craig Billesbach of Pleasant Dale, NE and sister Lisa (Greg) Hauser of Phoenix; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Duane and Kathy Long of Holdrege, Dale and Kathy Long of Holbrook, Dennis and Jan Long of Lincoln; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Rosemary and Kevin Johnson of Clive, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Neal Billesbach.
