Helen Craig, 86, of Brighton passed away Monday February 8, 2016 at her home.

She was born May 5, 1929 in Hudson, Colorado to Emanuel and Katherine (Wagner) Achziger. Helen grew up on the family farm.

On February 9, 1947 she married Ernest Craig in Johnstown, Colorado. She and Ernest farmed in several locations, mostly for 40 plus years south west of Frederick, Colorado. Helen was a classic example of a hard working farm wife.

In 1993 Helen and Ernst moved from the farm to Brighton due to his health. She took on a new role as his loving caregiver until his death on October 19, 1999. Helen was also a caregiver for her sister, Dorothy. Helen was always thinking about others before herself. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Helen was a member of the Brighton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing word puzzles, playing cards and going to the Brighton Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Craig; sister, Dorothy Davis; and brother, Harold Achziger.

Helen is survived by two daughters, three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one great-great-granddaughter.

Family services were held. Inurnment at Foothills Gardens of Memory, Longmont, CO.
