Doug was a 1975 graduate of Whitmer High School.
He is survived by his brother, Gregory; sister-in-law, Elizabeth; niece, Megan DiCresce; nephew-in-law, Thomas DiCresce; great-nieces, Faye and Ava DiCresce; aunt, Marilyn (Hale) Gottschalk; special cousin, Tom Roth; his loving extended Lucio family; as well as his favorite cat, Buddy.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Air Force reserve.
Doug loved sports, especially NASCAR. He was a very kind man with a big heart and had a generous approach to humanity. His greatest joy was being able to retire back to Ohio to be with his family and watch his great nieces grow up.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Arthur Hale.
