Mrs. ANNIE E. BARTGIS, of Gambrills, widow of Charles W. Bartgis, died at the Frederick City Hospital, Friday night after an illness of a few days, aged 83 years. She was a daughter of the late Armstead and Elizabeth Ann Baker Alexander.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. R.Y. Nicholson, Baltimore; Russell C., Gambrills; Mrs. Remus R. Darby, Washington, DC and Gambrills; and Stanley G., Columbus, Oh.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Beachley, Middletown; and Mrs. Charles Stockman, Frederick.
Services were held at the Lutheran Church, Middletown; interment was in Middletown Lutheran Cemetery; M.R. Etchison and Son were the funeral directors.
