Eudell Harvey Hannah Sr.
(CW3 - U.S. Army, Retired) passed away peacefully on February 3, 2016 at the age of 95 with his daughters at his side. He was born August 23,1920 in Wellington, Missouri to the union of William G. Hannah and Mable A. (Edwards) Hannah. In 1940 Mr. Hannah graduated from Douglas High School in Lexington, Missouri and attended Drake University. On September 18,1940 he joined the U.S. Army's 10th Calvary in Fort Leavenworth, Missouri and became a proud Buffalo Soldier.

The Army afforded Mr. Hannah an opportunity to see the world by traveling across the Pacific and to Europe. He was awarded the Bronze Medal, numerous diplomas and certificates specializing in medical equipment maintenance and electronics. After 32 years of military service he and his wife retired in San Antonio,Texas. Later, he worked in Saudi Arabia for 10 years. Subsequently, he worked as a Park Ranger for the city of San Antonio.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Dorothy, his son Eudell Jr.; siblings: William Jr., Mable Jackson, Ida Mae Craddock and Vernon Sr. He is survived by his daughters Goldie (Cary) Hall and Gloria Picazo, sister Dorothy Lee (John Sr.) Stotts, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, one niece, four nephews and best friend Retired Colonel Dick Dush, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:30am - 12:30pm at D. W. Brooks Funeral Home, 2950 E. Houston St., San Antonio, Texas 78202. Then, a procession will depart for the Main Post Chapel located at 2301 Wilson Way, Fort Sam Houston,Texas 78234 where services will be held at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at 2 O'clock at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
