Christopher William Hardin, 29, of Pilgrim, KY., formerly of Phelps, KY., passed from this earth on Monday, February 8, 2016, in Lexington, Ky.
Born June 28, 1986, in Pikeville, KY., he was a son of William (Hodge) and Donita Dotson Hardin of Phelps, Ky.
Chris was a superintendent for Loram Maintenance of Way in Minneapolis, MN. His job involved much travel and took him to 23 different states last year. Chris was an all-around athlete who excelled in football and basketball and graduated from Phelps High School in 2005, where he then went on to attend Georgetown College. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman who was affectionately known as "The Bear" to his family. Chris was a friend to all and met no strangers. His passing has left a void in all of our hearts, as his time on earth was much too short, he will be missed deeply and remembered with love forever.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: S.A. and Helen Hardin, and Don C. and Oleta Dotson.
In addition to his parents, survivors include one brother, Cameron Hardin of Lexington, KY., one sister, Kristen (Jason) Garrison of East Bernstadt, KY., uncle, James T. (Etta) Hardin of Nicholasville, KY., aunt, Vicki King of Berea, KY., and special girlfriend, Paige Evans of Knoxville, TN., along with a host of familyand friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 12, 2016, at the Peter Creek Presbyterian Church, Phelps, KY., with Rev. Kelley Baldridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park, Pikeville, Ky.
