Paul was born on Tuesday, May 23, 1967 in Jefferson County, Illinois the son of Paul Edward and Janice (Duncan) Hale. He married Jayma Foster on September 17, 2005 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Surviving family members include his mother: Janice Hale of Bluford, Illinois; wife: Jayma Hale of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; son: Paul Gregory Hale II and wife Sydnee of College Station, Texas; 2 daughters: Ariel Hale of St. Louis, Missouri and Madison Shafer of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; granddaughter: Madilyn Hale of St. Louis, Missouri; sister: Andrea Hulvey and husband Scott of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; one niece and one nephew also survive.

His father preceded him in death.

Paul served our country in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years and later worked for SA/NAT Industrial Construction Company in Mt. Vernon, Illinois as a millwright. He was a member of the Opdyke Masonic Lodge #368, the Jeff
