Mrs. ANN CATHERINE AUSHERMAN, widow of Lewis Ausherman, died Sunday morning at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ira D. Ausherman, at Araby, after an illness lasting 12 weeks, age 88 years, 4 months and 9 days. She was a daughter of the late Eli and Leydia Derr Delauter of near Middletown.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Charles Harshman, New Market; Mrs. Pearl M. Goodsell, Frederick; Mrs. Howard Zimmerman, Frederick; M.K. Ausherman, Adamstown; L.F. Ausherman, Washington; Mrs. Charles H. Rice, Frederick Junction; and Ira D. Ausherman, Araby; 52 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Raymer and Mrs. Amanda Michael, both of Myersville.

The deceased has resided with her son, Ira, for 14 years. Prior to that she lived near New Market. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Services were held at the Church of the Brethren, this city; burial in the Lutheran cemetery, Middletown; C.E. Cline and Son were the funeral directors.
