Harold Lawrence Manto of Hanover, formerly of the Chesley area, passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in his 96th year.
Loving father of Lee Vandenassem and her friend Paul Stever of Hanover, Lou (Ron) Talbot of Crawford and Lawrence Manto of Dyers Bay. Cherished grandfather of Aaron Manto, Rachel and Janet Vandenassem, Chris Gray and Alison Walter and great-grandfather of Alyssa, Brennan, Julia, Alayna, Logan, Aedan, Haley and Sophie. Harold will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Margaret, son-in-law Tony Vandenassem, sisters Maria, Lillian, Ruth, Gertrude and Clara, brother Herman and his parents, August and Mary (Schmidt) Manto.
Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where a funeral service celebrating Harold's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. Spring interment in Chesley Cemetery.
