MRS. ROBBINS SUMMONED BY DEATH

Death has removed in the person of Mary Childe Robbins another valued pioneer of Gunnison Valley. Mrs. Robbins was past 84 years of age when summons to the beyond came to her in the shade of evening, Tuesday, July 28, 1914.

Deceased was of English birth and came to Utah in the sixties. She was the wife of the late James Robbins. Five children were born to them, three daughters surviving, namely Mrs. H.A. Kearns of this city, Mrs. Alfred Belitz of Salt Lake, and Mrs. S.O. Peterson of Idaho. Mrs. Robbins was of amiable disposition, honored, trusted and loved by all of her acquaintances. She was filled with a spirit of activity, cheerful always and remained conscious to the last.

A number of friends gathered at the home of her daughter yesterday morning and paid loving tribute to the memory of Mrs. Robbins, when the remains were shipped to Salt Lake where the last services are to be held this Friday.

"We bent today o'er a coffined form, And our tears fell softly down; We looked our last on the aged face, With its look of peace, its patient grace, And hair like a silver crown"
