Son of Fazha and Sada Curry Dawahare.
Mr. Dawahare came to America around 1905, beginning his career as a vendor of dry goods and clothing. He traveled by foot then later by wagon and truck to various communities in eastern KY and parts of Virginia.
He owned and operated Faris Dawahare Dry Goods store in Wheelwright Kentucky since 1936. Before that he operated stores in Jenkins,Lexington and Neon Kentucky. He married the former Mary Hazen of Neon KY in 1920.
