Son of George & Nancy Hipple, husband of Dorothy A Faris Hipple

Obituary. The following was read by Rev. A. C. Crist who conducted the funeral: George W. Hipple, son of George and Nancy Hipple was born in Washington Co, PA, July 23, 1831, and was aged 71 yrs at the date of his death, which occurred at his home in Eden, OH, Sunday, September 13, 1902. His father George Hipple was a pioneer of Delaware Co, OH, having moved across the country from Pennsylvania in wagons in 1841, and settled on a farm in Brown Twp, adjoinging the village of Eden where he raised a family of five sons and one daughter; one daughter having married in Penn. before removing to Ohio. Only three of the deceased's brothers and sisters are living: Jackson Hipple of Delaware, OH; Mrs. S. P. Dunham, of Los Angeles, CA; and John Hipple, the youngest, of Muncie, IN. The deceased was married to Miss Dorothy A. Faris, daughter of Jas. Faris, a pioneer farmer of Brown Twp. by this marriage three daughters were born. Nettie, the youngest, died November 29, 1882; Ella is the wife of james W. Myers, with whom deceased made his home since the death of his wife 24 yrs ago. Emma is the wife of Judge George Coyner, of Delaware, OH. The deceased at one time removed to the State of Iowa and lived there about three years, and then returned to his farm in Brown Twp.
