As a freight train on the Louisville, New Albany and Chicago road was entering the White River bridge, near Bedford, Michael Fulk, a brakeman, who was on the top of the caboose, was struck on the head and seriously if not fatally injured.

Died From His Injuries
Bedford, September 8. - Michael Fulk, the freight train brakeman whose skull was crushed so badly while his train was passing through the White River bridge, on the Louisville, New Albany and Chicago road near here, last Monday morning, died from the effects of his injuries.

-- Michael Fulk, freight brakeman, was found lying on the roof of the caboose, Monday a week, terribly bruised about the head and right shoulder, and unconscious. It is supposed (though nothing is positively known about it) that he was seated on the lookout, and was struck by the White River bridge, south of Bedford.
