Deacon Of 2 Churches Is Dead At 71
Emanuel J. Salzseidler, 71, of 440 E. Vine St., died Sunday morning at his home following a short illness. A native of Mound City, S.D., he was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Lodi and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Stockton. He served both congregations as a deacon.
Salsiedler, who moved to Stockton in 1944, had spent his retirement years in Lodi since 1959. His wife, Mrs. Emma Salzsiedler resides in the family home. Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ervin Metzger of LaPuente, Mrs. Dan Renz of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Leo Rau of McLaughlin, S.D., Betty Salzsiedler, also of Spokane; a stepson, Alvin Heer of Lodi; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert Jacobson of Albany; four sisters, Martha Salzsiedler of Chicago, Mrs. Emma Peterson of Elgin, N.D.; Mrs. Erna Taylor of Hayward, and Mrs. Irene Maier of Napa; two brothers, Andy Salzsiedler of Concord and Ted Salzsiedler of Napa; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
