LAWRENCE JOSEPH "Larry" LANGLEY, b.1919, Belmont, MA, d.2003, Greenbush, MA, a son of Albert Langley and Lena (Dupree) of Belmont, MA, and twin brother of Ruth Langley. In 1941 Lawrence married DOROTHY ANN (CLAPP) of Greenbush, MA. They became parents of Beverly, Phyllis, Joyce, Annette, Larry and Christine Langley.

Larry served in the European Theater in WWII as a medic, and when the war ended he sailed home on the 'Queen Mary', along with many comrades, including a group of wounded that he remained responsible for until reaching their destination at a veteran's hospital in NY. Once settled back at home in Scituate, MA he became Commander of the VFW Post in Scituate, MA, including organizing the town's Memorial Day parades. His early careers included welding chassis into fire engines in the nearby town of Marshfield, MA, salesman for E.D. Cook Welding Supply Co., clerk with the Scituate Town Highway Dept., clerk of the Traffic Dept. in Roxbury District Court in Roxbury, MA, and Veteran's Agent for the Town of Scituate.

He built a home on Old Oaken Bucket Road for his family, where most of his six children he had with his wife Dorothy (Clapp) were born, overlooking the cranberry bog. He had a shop at the back of their property where he created and sold ornamental ironwork and dollhouses as a hobby. His other passions were drawing with charcoal and pastels, gardening and growing raspberry plants. His produce overflow went to an honor system stand on his front lawn.

Lawrence's parents, of Canadian descent, are buried in Cambridge, MA, as are most of his 12 other siblings).
