Jacob Ezra Sigler was born at Indian Creek, Ritchie, (now West) Virginia to George Thomas Sigler and Elizabeth A Koontz Sigler in 1858. He left his family to explore the unsettled west, living in Washington, Idaho, and Montana. There he met and married Lucy Ann Burger, daughter of early settlers. The couple had three children, Laura Margaret, Willis, and Garald Garard. Jacob died in Anaconda on September 26, 1901 - shortly after his brothers John Sylvanas and William Stephan Sigler moved to Anaconda with their own families.
Jacob was survived by his wife, Lucy Ann, daughter Laura Margaret, and sons Willis and Garald; mother Elizabeth Sigler; and siblings Ella Andrews, John Sigler, and William Sigler. He was preceded in death by his father, George Sigler, sister Martha Bowers, and 3 unnamed siblings who died as infants.
Jacob Ezra was buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, per his obituary. The cemetery is located on the hill beyond the end of the road. You will need to go through private land so be sure to ask before proceeding. The cemetery has been fenced but little to nothing has been done towards maintaining. There are only two stones left and they are on the ground broken. It is impossible to find any exact burial location.
