WILLIAM WOOD COLVIN, JR., 71, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2016. William was born on May 20, 1944 in Alvin to parents William Wood Colvin, Sr. and Georgia Faye Staples. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. When he was healthy and able, he spent his time teaching the grandkids how to fish and play baseball. His wisdom and love of family will live on in them. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and would tell stories about his days in the Navy and his experiences on the USS Hornet. He would joke around and make light of all situations and would say to always keep the faith.

William was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: David Colvin and Glen Colvin; other family members and friends.

He is survived by his children: Wendy Skinner and family, William “Billy” Colvin, III and family, April Collinsworth and family, Kenda Colvin and family, and Ashlie Bozarth and family; sisters and brothers: Beverly Thielen and family, Robert Colvin and family, Jackie Colvin and family, and Jeff Colvin and family; grandchildren: Blake, Kaileigh, Lauryn, Ashlynn, Gaines, Kaleb, Sean, Kairi, Abbie and Aiden; many other family members and friends.
