Funeral services for Daniel Leon Flowers, 66, of Winnsboro will be held 2 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2016, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville. Visitation will be 1 pm until time of service.

Mr. Flowers was born January 23, 1950, in Winnsboro to the union of Leon Flowers and Norma Jean Crow Flowers, he passed from this life on February 6, 2016, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.

Mr. Flowers was a Veteran of the United States Army serving six years of Active Duty. He received the National Defense Service Medal ,Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnam Cross Gallantry with Palm and the Good Conduct Medal.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Joanna Flowers; five daughters: Kelli Flowers, Danielle Poland, Christine Broussard, Heidi Rowton and Natalee Rowten; 13 grandchildren; two brothers Donnie Flowers and Ronnie Flowers and a host of other relatives and friends.
