Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, Feb. 8th, 2015, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with Pastor Bill Peterson, officiating. Calling time will be from 2:00 pm, Monday, until time of services at the church and following the services until 4:30 pm. Burial will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 9th, 2016, at Elk Falls Cemetery, of Elk Falls, Kansas.
Mr. Bryan retired from Steve’s Grocery Store of Hope in 1991 due to failing health. He had worked at Food 4 Less and Catlin’s IGA of Herington as a stocker before operating his own store. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, summer baseball, and was a Special Olympic Coach. His favorite team was KU. He supported and attended his alumni meetings for the all school reunion which were held each year. He graduated from Moline High School with the class of 1969. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He married Lyneva Sherman on June 30, 1973, at Elk Falls, and she survives at the home. He is survived by two sons Jeremy and his fiancée Carolina Gleason of Goddard, Justin of Salina, a daughter Jennifer Guffey and her husband Ryan and their daughter Kylee of Goddard, two sisters Pam Bryan of Moline, and Peggy Weaver and her husband Glennis of Sedan.
The family requests memorials to the SE Dickinson Magic; and they may be sent in care of the Zeiner Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS, 67449-3038.
