William Rector Jr., 76, of Crossville, TN, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Cumberland Village in LaFollette, TN.
He was born May 14, 1939 in Crossville, son of the late William Rector Sr. and Pearlie (McAkney) Rector.
He worked at Head Start as a social worker and was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church. He also proudly served in National Guard.
He is survived by his son, Timmy Rector (Judy) of Nashville, TN; daughters, Tina Henry of Crossville, and Brenda Sensing (David) of Dickson, TN; brother, G.W. Rector of Crossville; and sister, Marie Manis of Talbott, TN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Rector and James Rector.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dewey Peterson officiating. Interment in Woody Cemetery.
