Samuel W. Holt, 92, of Fulton, Missouri went home to glory on February 3, 2016. Samuel was born July 20, 1923, in New Bloomfield, Missouri to Thomas and Eula Cave Holt and they preceded him in death. He married Ethel Lee, April of 1950 in Fulton, Missouri and she preceded him in death October 3, 2001.
Samuel served his country in the U. S. Army and worked for Paul Herring Construction for over 50 years. Samuel loved watching old western movies and site seeing (riding).
He is survived by five children, Nancy Lee of Fulton, Samuel (Violet) W. Lee (Holt, Jr.) of Vandalia, Missouri, Lawrence (Sarah) Holt of Fulton, Terry (Janice) Holt of Vandalia and Peggy (Percy McBride) Holt of Seattle, Washington; daughter-in-law Jewel Holt of Fulton; brothers, Faye Holt of Jefferson City and Clifford Holt of New Bloomfield; a special friend, Mattie Murray of Jefferson City, Missouri. Samuel also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors-Mrs. Juanita Logan, Ms. Karen, and Ms. Barbara Robinson.
Samuel was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Gene Holt; two brothers Lewis (Jack) and Ancel Holt.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Victory Fellowship Church in Fulton. Visitation will be held from 11: 00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Fulton. Repast will be held at Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church (Westminster).
