STEPHEN PADDOCK DIES IN FRANCE
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Paddock, of 13 Mill street, this city, received a telegram from the War Department informing them that their son, Stephen J. Paddock, died of wounds in a base hospital in France November 16. The message did not contain any other details and when the young man received his wounds which caused his death is not known.
Paddock was with the United States Infantry, Company 26. He enlisted shortly after United States declared war on Germany. He had been in France for four months and saw service in some of the greatest battles in history.
Besides his, parents he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Leo, with the 109th Field Artillery in France; Joseph, Louis, Stella, Mary and Bessie.
