Ruth was the daughter of William Page and Hannah Heath of Dunbarton, New Hampshire. She was married in Dunbarton on 22 June 1796 to Joseph SAWYER, b. Warner, NH 2 Feb 1771, d. Newport, NH 30 July 1854, the son of Joseph Sawyer and Judith Kelly. Following their marriage, Ruth and Joseph moved to Newport, New Hampshire, then in Cheshire Co., and raised a family of nine children. Joseph is enumerated there on the 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840, and 1850 censuses, living with the family of their youngest son, Benjamin F. Sawyer, aged 29, in 1850.
While a burial record for Ruth and Joseph has not yet been found, they lived and died in Newport, and are almost certainly buried with their youngest son, with whom they lived their final years.
