Vernon Lester “Buddy” Shaw Sr., 72, of Cameron, NC went home to meet his lord on February 8th, 2016 in Pinehurst, NC.
Buddy was born on February 4th, 1944 in Halifax County, NC to Henry and Edith Shaw.
During his life, Buddy enjoyed sharing his gift of music with others. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church serving as a choir member and graciously volunteering his time to working in the food pantry.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mrs. Jan M. Shaw of Cameron, NC; three sons, Vernon Lester Shaw Jr. (Kim) of Northville, MI, Michael Earles (Erin) of Louisburg, NC, and Thimothy Earles (Kathleen) of Mebane, NC; two daughters, Linda Champney (Stanley) of Cameron, NC and Carolyn Edwards (David) of Phoenix, AZ; eleven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday February 9th at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford, NC. A church visitation will be held from 11-1:30 on Wednesday February 10th at Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday February 9th at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
