Funeral services for Mr. Joseph "Jake" Foy Sr., 82 ,of Winnsboro, LA will be held at Fort Necessity Baptist Church on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Milton Williams and Rev. Don Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Foy was born April 29, 1924 and passed away Friday September 01, 2006 at home in Winnsboro. He was a resident of Winnsboro, retired from the United Sates Air Force, and a was a member of the Fort Necessity Baptist Church.
He was preceded in Death by:
Wife-Ruby Amanda (Carroll) Foy, Parents-Sterling and Winnie Foy, Grandson-Joseph S. "Trey" Foy III, 5 Brothers-Robert, Fred, Stan, Hubert Ray, and Caroll Foy, and Sister-Inez Huff
Survivors include: Companion-Irene Jones of Winnsboro, 5 Sons-Wayne Foy and wife Gail of Fort Necessity, Joe Foy and wife Janet of Fort Necessity, Raymond Foy and wife Saundra of West Monroe, Douglas Foy and wife Bonnie of Winnsboro, Chuck Foy and wife Angela of Fort Necessity; Daughter-Sue Carraway and Bo of Fort Necessity. He was also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The Pallbearers will be J.T. Thames, Mike Jordan, Hilton Huff, Darrell Beach, Ronald Beach, Buddy Foy, Donnie Foy, and Bobby Foy.
The Honorary Pallbearers are Leon Davis and Bobby Davis.
