Sanderson, Elizabeth P. NORTH GREENBUSH Elizabeth "Betty" P. Sanderson, 93, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Van Rensselaer Manor surrounded by loved ones, after a brief illness. Born in Lyons, Neb., Betty had been a resident of East and North Greenbush for more than 60 years. She had a long career in clothing retail, as well as with the Department of Motor Vehicles, retiring in 1978. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Lester "Charlie" Sanderson; sister Marion Reeves and brother, retired Sgt. Maj. Keith Paine, USMC. She is survived by her children, Kathy L. Sanderson and Keith W. Sanderson; grandchildren, Christine Sanderson and Keith Sanderson; great-granddaughter Zoe Scott; and "adopted family" of Gail Garcia, Tammy Racine, and Jennifer Garcia. For the last three years, Betty has resided at the Loudonville Home for Adults where she enjoyed excellent care and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 10 a.m., on March 3 at the Community Congregational Church Columbia, 221 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer 12144. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Unity Sunshine Program, c/o Unity House, 33 Second St., Troy, NY 12180.
