Served as Captain and Quartermaster under Col. Ashley W. Spaight. Killed in battle at Fordoche Bayou, Fordoche, Pointe Coupee, Parish, LA. Burial site unknown.
Father, mother, brother (Patrick Henry), sisters (Susan and Charlotte) are buried in Beech Creek cemetery. Parent's and Susan's graves are unmarked. Charlotte's grave is marked (Lottie, wife of Rev. D. K. Martin).
