A Mass of Christian burial for Catherine E Kohler, manager of the Reistertown branch of the First National Bank of Maryland and treasurer of the Reistertown-Owings Mills-Glyndon Chamber of Commerce, will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Sacred Heart Church in Glyndon.
Mrs. Kohler, who was 53, had a heart attack Sunday at her home on Chartley Park Road, Reisterstown, and was pronounced dead when taken to Union Memorial Hospital. She had been a patient at Union Memorial for most of the last month, but returned home Friday.
Born Catherine Stephens in Johnstown, Pa., Mrs. Kohler worked at the Pentagon in Washington before moving to Reisterstown about 15 years ago to take a job as a teller at the new First National Bank of Maryland office there.
Through several promotions, she had become a regional officer at the bank and branch manager at the Reisterstown branch on Chartley Boulevard.
She married Robert F Kohler 30 years ago. He died in 1976.
Mrs. Kohler who was a member of Sacred Heart Church, is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Deyo, of Baltimore; a son, Kurt F Kohler of Reisterstown, five sisters, Grace Little, of Loretto, PA., Margaret Hite of Carrolltown, PA; Frances McMullen, of Lilly, PA; Rita Hardwick, of Glen Burnie, and Mary Elizabeth Judge, of Forestville; two brothers, Allen Stephens, of Portage, PA; and John Stephens of Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, NY, and two grandchildren.
