John T. Eaton of Steelville, MO was born October 22, 1938 in Knobel, AR and passed away February 3, 2016 in St Louis, MO at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 12 days. His parents are Thurman & Frances (Hefner) Eaton. John served his country honorably in the Air Force during the Vietnam war and received an outstanding unit award. He married Mary Blankenship on May 31, 1968 in Paragould, AR. He became an avid reader of the Bible in the last few years of his life. He was proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Robert & Alice Blankenship; and brother Travis Eaton and his wife Mavis (Stevens) Eaton. He is survived by his wife Mary of Steelville, MO; children John Keith Eaton of Jonesboro, AR, Thomas D. Eaton of Steelville, MO and Shannon S. (Rebecca) Eaton of Plato, MO; brothers Tony Eaton, David (Linda) Eaton, and Cloyce (Sally) Eaton all of Paragould, AR, Jerry Eaton of AR; sisters Sue Thurman of Paragould, AR, Sharon (Ron) Mays of Lakeland, FL, Loyce (David) Saylor of Tulsa, OK, and Tammy Pannells of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren: Jacob Eaton, Katherine Eaton, Kaylee Eaton and Alyssa Eaton. Funeral service was Feb 8th at 7:00 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.
Pastor Jerry Beers officiated. Burial with full military honors was Feb 9th at New Friendship Cemetery in Paragould, AR.
