Rev. Martin was born February 25, 1955 in Gilmer County the son of Henry “Bill” and Viola Townsend Martin. He attended Gilmer High School, was an auto detailer and was a member of the Higher Praise Church of God. He was preceded in death by a brother David Martin.
Survivors include; wife Lorene Murphy Martin, father and mother Bill and Viola Martin, sons and daughters-in-law; Ronald and Shannon Garrett, Michael and Amanda Garrett, Jonathan Martin, daughter and son-in-law; Audrey and Kevin Fowler, brother and sister-in-law; Mark and Julie Martin, sister and brother-in-law; Maylene and Junior Maney, 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 8, 2016 at 3:00pm from the chapel of the Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Dwaine Shaddix, Rev. Gary Ashe and Rev. Junior Maney officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.
Bernhardt Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
