Ellen Louise (Carlton) SWAN (1945 - 2016)

Passed away peacefully January 25th, 2016 at Spokane Hospice House. She was born December 13th, 1945 in Spokane to Robert W. and Elsie M. (Blomberg) Carlton. She attended North Central High School. She was a Spokane resident for the majority of her life. She worked various jobs from accounting, secretarial, business owner, cleaning houses and working with disabled young adults. She loved the friendships she made with her elderly clients that she cleaned houses for and had a true calling with the young adults she mentored. She loved summertime and being outdoors gardening, listening to music and dancing with her grandson Wyatt Wilson. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jerry L. Swan of more than 20 years. Survived by two sisters Sharon Brazington and Carolyn Rehor, both of Liberty Lake; three children, William N. Swan of Chewelah, Shelle L. Burbank (Nick) of Republic, and Jason R. Wilson (Krissy Salter) of Spokane; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be on March 4th at 1 pm at Fairmount Memorial Park.
