Frances, who liked to go by her middle name Janell, was born to David Earl Childress and Nora Helen Sharp on April 8th, 1946 in Philadelphia, MS.
Janell was a crafty hobbyist who loved her needlework, beading and making hand crafted jewelry. She has crafted some most beautiful Kachinas from clay (must be the Choctaw and Cherokee blood in her). She enjoyed day trips to get out and see the world. Janell had a smile that filled the room along with a wonderful giggle and laugh.
Her family moved to Indianapolis while she was young but always retains a slight southern accent in her speech.
She has worked at several jobs before becoming a full time house wife.
She worked at K-Mart, Airport Security in Boise and Phoenix.
It was at the Boise Airport that she met her husband, George and married on 14 June 1976 in Las Vegas, NV
She Survived by her husband, George and one Brother James Larry Childress and his wife of Greenfield, IN. She has two daughters from a previous marriage. Tammy Michelle Olvera of Omaha, NE and Beverly Dale of Indianapolis, IN. Two step-daughters with George, Anne Ramsey of Moscow, ID and Jeannette Mayer of New Plymouth, ID along with 7 grandchildren.

Frances passed away at Banner Hospice in Sun City West, Arizona. She and George lived in Peoria, AZ since 1997.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, a brother David Earl Childress, Jr. and sister Judy Childress.
