Dennis Lee Entsminger, 69, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He was a United States Army veteran and an employee at Legacy Supply Chain Services. Dennis had many things in life in which he enjoyed that included cooking, working in the yard, golfing and also shopping. He looked forward to date nights with his wife and by far his family was his greatest passion. Dennis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jeffersonville, a Master Sous Chef, and an avid UK fan. He never missed a game and on many occasions traveled with the team to cheer on his Wildcats.

He was born on January 26, 1947 in Covington, Virginia to the late Julian and Mary Helen (Buchanan) Entsminger. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Marshal Stewart Entsminger. Dennis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Hazel (Doss) Entsminger; children, Karen Horlander, Ron Blackman (Lynda), Stephanie DiGregory, Dennis Scott Entsminger, Shannon Entsminger-Whitehouse; brother, Ernest Entsminger (Mary Catherine); 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 11 AM. His Funeral Service will take place at 2 PM on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Dennis’ wishes.
