Claire A. Turcotte Conca, 93, of Woonsocket, died on Sunday Jan. 1, 2017 at the Holiday in Manville.

She was the loving wife of the late Edward J. Turcotte, they were married in 1944 and he passed away in 2003. She was also the wife of the late Louis F. Conca, Jr. They were married in 2005 and he passed away in 2015.

Born and raised in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Antoine and Lea (Desjardins) Lamoureux. She lived in Woonsocket for most of her life and also resided in North Providence and Cumberland for several years. In her earlier years, she worked in the local textile industry and was later employed by the Woonsocket School Department in the lunch program for over 20 years until her retirement. Claire was a member the St. Joseph senior citizens club and enjoyed participating in activities at Chimney Hill Apartments. Claire's favorite role in life was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Claire J. Senecal and her husband, Adelbert "Del," of North Providence and Suzanne J. Burman her husband, Robert "Bob," of Wakefield. She was the sister of Lea Pichette of Woonsocket; Pauline DeBatis of Holden, Mass.; Lorraine Charest of Florida; and Georgette Dumas of Chepachet; and the late Albert and Eugene Lamoureux, Constance Leblanc and Julienne "Judy" Landry. She is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Her funeral will be this Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are this Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.
