Walter Auxier, Jr.

Walter "Yogi" Auxier Jr. age 56 of Jackson, Kentucky formerly of Magoffin County, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky. He was born December 31, 1959 in Tecumseh, Michigan to the late Walter Sr. and Annalee Risner Auxier.
Survivors include his wife Katherine Wholaver Auxier, one son Caleb Auxier of Columbus, Ohio, six daughters Christie Hale of Indianapolis, Indiana, Misty Back of Jackson, Kentucky, Annalee Risner and Tina Risner both of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Tonie Auxier and Mary Wholaver both of Columbus, Ohio, and two sisters Patty Wireman of Royalton, Kentucky and Mary Havitz of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Fifteen grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, Walter is preceded in death by one brother Anthony Lee Auxier and two sisters Toniette Collins and Betty Jo Risner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from the Salyersville International Pentecostal Church of Christ with Phillip Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacob Marshall Risner Cemetery at Puncheon, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church after 5 pm Monday, February 8, 2016 and anytime Tuesday prior to funeral services.
