Susan Lynn Gardner, age 61, of Slaterville Springs, NY passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Sue was the daughter of the late Gerald and Shirley Lippincott of Slaterville Springs, NY.
She was married to William Gardner Jr of Etna, NY on July 18, 1981. In 1994 Sue & Bill moved to Idaho. After 21 years there they returned to New York to be closer to children, grandchildren & siblings. Sue was a loving and animated grandmother to 7 grandchildren. She was hard working and devoted to her family. While living in Idaho, she took several trips yearly to New York and North Dakota to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She lived an active lifestyle enjoying hikes and going to exercise classes with her friends.
In addition to her husband of 34 years, Sue is survived by her children, Michelle (Gordie) Nash of Candor, NY; Daniel (Jennifer) Dean of Groton, NY, Matthew (Laura) Gardner of Washburn, ND; 7 grandchildren, Christian Gardner, Johnny Nash, Sarah Dean, Aubrey Gardner, Lily Gardner, Taylor Gardner and Mason Nash ; her siblings, Rick (Debbie) Lippincott of Snellville, GA; Gayle Lippincott of Candor, NY, Jerene (Bruce) Murray of Brooktondale, NY, David (Cheryl) Lippincott of Slaterville Springs, NY; several nieces and nephews; and her Idaho family who she adored.
Friends are invited to call at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY from 10 - 11 am on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 a memorial service will follow at 11 am. In celebration of Sue Gardner's life please join us at the VFW in 2272 Dryden Rd in Dryden, NY immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to www.relayforlife.org.
