MAURINE GARRETT ACTON
Maurine Garrett Acton, 74, died Sunday morning in the Schumpert Medical Center following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 3pm today at Plain Dealing Baptist church with Dr. Don Doughty, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of the Bailey Mortuary.
A lifelong resident of Plain Dealing, she was a member of the Plain Dealing Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dr. George Samuel Acton, Jr., of Shreveport, and a sister, Mrs. J. B. Walker of Plain Dealing.
Pallbearers will be John W. Price, James D. Southerland, John Doles, Jr., Dell Southerland, Vernon Malone, and Jerry Griggs.
