Wm. Cunningham

William (Bill) J. Cunningham, 71, 6914 James St., Brown City, lifelong resident, passed away Thursday, Julyt 111, 1985.

He was born March 23, 1914 to George and Maude Cunningham in Brown City.

William and Vera M. Crankshaw were married November 10, 1939 in Ohio.

He retired in March, 1978 from Port Huron Herald Times as driver salesman for 40 years.

In 1982, area baseball fans honored William Cunningham for the years of faithful support by naming a ball field in his homor and placing a plaque at the field in a dedication ceremony for him and his family.

Surviving are his wife, Vera; two sons, William John Cunningham, III, New Hampshire and Carl James and Shirley Cunningham, Italy; one granddaughter, Ramona Cunningham, Italy,; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Stimson, Brown City; one nephew and two great nephews.

Preceding him in dath are one daughter, Judy Ann in 1951; one brother, Carl Cunningham in March 1984 and a granddaughter, Nadine Cunningham in April 1985.

A memorial service was held July 13 in the Brown City Missionary Church. Rev. Marion Burkett, pastor, officiated.

Cremation was at White Chapel, Troy.

Memorials may be made in Brown City Misssionary Church or Marlette Hospice.
