She worked from home while her children were young. Later she worked at the library at SMU, then as a secretary and teacher for Armstrong Elementary School in Highland Park. She loved being with her family and friends, and all sorts of social activities. She enjoyed the activities of the senior adults in the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Reading was one of her favorite hobbies. She moved to Jacksonville with her son in 2005. Survivors include her sons Richard Jr. and his wife Billie Nielsen of Jacksonville, TX; William and his wife Sung Yon of Safety Harbor, FL; daughters Donna Collins of Merriam, KS; Marcia and husband Fred LaMar of Lenexa, KS.; 4 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; 4 great grand-daughters; and 3 great grandsons; cousin, Burton Williams, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Pearl Moseley and husband, Richard R. Nielsen, Sr. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Cox Chapel, Highland Park United Methodist Church Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
