WINTER HAVEN - George T. Brewer, 58, died on December 3, 2015, due to complications of COPD. Born in Sampson County, North Carolina to the late Albert Brewer and Gertrude Daughtry Westbrook on November 17, 1957. George was a plumber by trade following in his Dad's footsteps, until an injury that forced a change of career to installing fire alarms. He became totally disabled in 2001, coaching his children at softball and baseball was one of his pleasures and he was involved at both Miss Winter Haven Softball and Sertoma Park. He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Brewer, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Brewer; daughter, Melinda Bre-wer of Winter Haven; sister, Betty Gautier (Samuel) of Clinton, NC; brothers, Delbert Jackson, Oldsmar, FL and Frank Brewer of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Brian Brewer, Jr., Shane Butler, Ty Butler, Emma Butler, and Zoey Butler of Winter Haven; and several nieces and nephews.
