Waynesville-Jeff “Bodean” Davis, 50, died on January 26, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jeff was born in Haywood County on May 22, 1965, to the late Johnny and Freda Janes Davis. Jeff was an avid softball player who loved camping, going to the lake, helping coach the Smoky Mountain Sting, and attending the kid’s sporting events.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Davis; a daughter, Candice Davis; a sister, Dianna Dunn; and a brother-in-law, Bob Dunn.
Jeff is survived by his significant other of 20 years, Susan Smith; a son, Tyler Hyde; a daughter, Courtney Williams (Jonathan); an aunt, Dorothy Davis; and numerous cousins.
