Ashley Tai Henthorn, 35 of Parkersburg went to be with her Lord and Savior Jan. 31, 2016 after a long illness.

Ashley was born on Oct. 20, 1980 and she was the only daughter of Don and Janette Henthorn.

She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1999. All she ever talked about was getting a college degree. Even though she was very ill, she accomplished her goal and graduated from WVU-P with a Bachelor of Science degree. She also earned five certificates, one of which was in Pharmacy Tech.

Ashley loved her family. Her daughter was Ashley's everything. Her Mom was her strength and always had her back. Her Dad was her special hero.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Austin Martin of Vienna; daughter, Ava Henthorn of Parkersburg; her fiance and partner for 18 years, Matt Whitlatch; brother, Jason Henthorn (Briar); nephews, Logan and Bryce Henthorn; and her fur baby, Gizmo.

We want to thank Pastor Jim Yoak for all the counsel he provided for Ashley in her home and her countless hospitalizations.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dorman and Joan Henthorn of Spencer, W.Va. and maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Violet Gregg of Parkersburg.

As per her wishes there will be no services or visitation. This is the last thing we can do for our precious Ash. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
