Floyd Leon Sanders 76 of St. Charles died Saturday January 30, at home after a short battle with cancer.

Floyd was born at home in Winona County on September 6, 1939 to Rex and Alda Sanders. Floyd married Judith Burt on December 9, 1961 at the Lewiston Brethren Church. Floyd lived and worked on the family farm outside of Utica until 1989. After he left the farm he drove truck for the Turkey Store in Altura for 25 years, in his younger years. Floyd was noted as a great bowler and was actually said to be the first person to bowl a perfect 300 at the old bowling alley in Lewiston. Floyd really enjoyed singing Karaoke, playing pool, tractor pulls and great conversations and he especially loved spending time with his family. Floyd was very proud of his 28 years of sobriety with the help of Alchoholics Anonymous.

Floyd is survived by his wife Judith Ann Sanders, children Tammy (Jeff Reed) Majerus of Rochester, Terry (Matt Eggert) Sinn of Lewiston, Tracy (Tom) Pietrzak of Saint Charles, Trudy (Travis) Hansen of Zumbrota and Timothy Sanders of Duluth, grandchildren Becky, Rachel, Mike, Dan, Kristal, Jamie, Lindsay, Cody, Katie, Sammy and Kyle. Stepgrandchild Mike, great grandchildren Trindy and Paige, sister Fern Ihrke and many nieces aand nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roger and Richard Sanders, 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

Visitation will be from 4PM to 8PM Wednesday, February 3, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Services, St. Charles. The funeral will be at 11AM Thursday February 4, with visitation one hour prior at Hoff Funeral and Cremation in St. Charles.

Interment at Saratoga Cemetery.
