Pearl M. "Grannie " Ward, age 100, of Columbus Ohio, formerly of Mountain City, TN passed away on April 24, 2012 in Columbus Ohio. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Maggie Martin Wallace.
Mrs. Ward was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church, loved to cook, garden and quilt. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Ward; son, Harold Ward; granddaughter, Pamela Marie Perkins; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors are daughter, Bettie Ward, Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Eddie and Tonya Ward, Columbus, Ohio, Jerry Ward, North Carolina, Jerry Perkins, Mountain City, TN; five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Pearl M. "Grannie" Ward was conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2012 from the Heroes Chapel of the Johnson County Funeral Home with Mr. Richard Foster officiating. Pallbearers were selected from friends. The family received friends from 12 to 1 PM Saturday prior to the service. Graveside service and interment followed in the Sunset Memorial Park of Mountain City.
