Lucinda's husband William died in 1916.
All the census records I have viewed indicate she was born in 1852 although her tombstone states 1850. I tend to go with the census.
My Uncle, William Fetterman remembers going to visit Lucinda, his g. grandmother. She lived in an old farm house in Bear Gap.
Lucinda's obit taken from "The Morning Press" Bloomsburg PA., Sat July 29, 1950, it reads:
"Oldest County Resident Dead
Mrs. Lucinda Yeager, 101 Bear Gap, Lived Through Five Wars.
Mrs. Lucinda Yeager, Columbia countys oldest resident died at the age of 101 years, ten months and ten days, yesterday morning at 4:30 o'clock at the home of a niece, Mrs. Adele Allebach, of Moorstown, N.J.
Born Sept. 18, 1848, Mrs. Yeager was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Minnier Ewing. She was the widow of William H. Yeager and had been a lifelong resident of Bear Gap.
During Mrs. Yeagers lifetime twenty-two presidents were elected and this nation became engaged in five, possibly six major wars. Her residence, in Bear Gap was close to the Columbia-Montour county line, defined two years after her birth.
For about a year following the death of her son, William, Mrs Yeager resided alone, assisted by neighbors with whom she was quite popular. Her neice succeeded in recently in persuading Mrs. Yeager to make her home with her in New Jersey. She had been there about two weeks when death occured as the result of the infirmities of her advanced years.
She was a devout member of the Methodist Church of Bear Gap.
Fifty-four direct decendants survive her. Survivors include a brother, Grant Ewing, Williamsport; twenty-two grandchildren; six-teen great grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock from Billig funeral home, Numidia, with the Rev. E. R. Raycroft, pastor of the Elysburg Methodist Charge, officiating. Interment will be in the Methodist cemetery at Bear Gap."
