Victoria Edna (Narr) Berg, 84, of Howard Lake, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia. There will be visitation Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake, with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Interment will be at the Mt. Herman Lutheran Cemetery.


Victoria Edna (Narr) Berg, age 84, of Cokato, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, at the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia.
She was born Aug. 20, 1931, in Minneapolis, to Victor and Edna (Noerenberg) Narr.
Victoria grew up in Howard Lake, was baptized and confirmed at the St. James Lutheran Church, and attended the St. James School to the eighth grade. She went on to graduate from the Howard Lake High School in 1949.
Victoria was united in marriage to Duane Berg Sept. 17, 1950, at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. The couple was wed by Reverend Theo Melinat.
They made their home in rural Annandale on the family farm. There they remained for many years and raised their family.
In addition to helping on the farm and tending her large gardens, sewing and baking, Vickie’s passion was to teach piano and organ to several generations of students for over 60 years. Traveling and volunteering with music were activities she enjoyed.
Victoria is survived by her children; Joey (Connie) Berg, Jayne (Dan) Kyllonen, all of Howard Lake, Julianne (Tom) Marcsisak of Waconia, and Jacquelyn (Donn) Dierks of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren Jami (Sarah) Berg, Cari (Joe) Backes, Candice (Brendan) Dolan, Jeffrey (Andrea) Kyllonen, Jodi (special friend Robert Cielke) Kyllonen, Tara (Dustin) Bones, Tiffany (Ronnie) Olson, Tonya (Vlad) Spector, Devin Dart, Crystal Dierks, and Savannah Dierks; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Luella (Dale) Vitalis; three nieces; one nephew; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Edna Narr; husband Duane; and brother, Leland Narr.
There was visitation Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake, with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at the Mt. Herman Lutheran Cemetery.
Beloved mom, grandma, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
Preceded in death by her parents Victor and Edna Narr and husband Duane.
